Transparent Image Background
Many of our products feature a transparent image background. For any product that has this label, that simply means that the background of the PSD, PNG, GIF, ICO, and MAC images is completely transparent. JPEG images on the other hand cannot have a transparent background due to the file type's restrictions, thus we set JPEG images to a default white background, unless stated otherwise. With regard to our products that feature a drop shadow, we always keep that element unlocked and adjustable within the delivered PSD file, unless of course stated otherwise in the product description. You can also turn off the shadow completely, should you choose to. The advantage to having a transparent background on an icon or graphic, is that you can use it on any background setting, and the image will blend in perfectly, and without any jagged pixelation. Obviously a locked icon background color would nearly make the graphic useless, as users could only use it on one background setting.
